Transportation to Vancouver, British Columbia
There are a variety of ways to get to Vancouver, British Columbia.

  • Air—If you’re arriving by air, you’ll most likely be flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Located just 25 minutes from downtown, YVR is consistently rated one of the best airports in North America. There are more than a dozen international flights in and out of YVR every day, with 22 bound for the United States.
  • Automobile—Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway, accesses Vancouver from points east. If planning a driving tour, allow 12 hours from Calgary and five days from Montreal. Vancouver is only three hours north of Seattle. Take the Interstate 5, which becomes Highway 99 at the United States-Canada border.

  • Water—BC Ferries provides regularly scheduled passenger and vehicle service between Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and other parts of coastal British Columbia.

  • TrainPacific Central Station is the terminus for transcontinental passenger rail and bus service, located at Main and Terminal Streets in downtown Vancouver.
    • VIA Rail has transcontinental services from Toronto via Jasper arriving at Vancouver’s Pacific Central Station three times a week. Contact VIA at +1 800.561.8630.
    • Rocky Mountaineer Tours provides two-four day train trips through the stunning Rocky Mountains between BC and Alberta.
    • Amtrak Cascades offers one round-trip per day between Seattle and Vancouver that depart Vancouver each evening. Contact Amtrak at +1 800.872.7245.

Transportation from Vancouver International Airport to Marriott Pinnacle
There are several options to go between Vancouver International Airport and downtown Vancouver, including scheduled coach transfers, limosine, taxi, car rentals and public transit.

  • TaxiFind a taxi service. Estimated taxi fare: $30 CAD (one way)
    • Driving Directions: Take Arthur Laing Bridge and exit on right to Granville Street, cross Granville Street Bridge and exit on right to Seymour Street, drive 9 blocks and turn left at West Hastings Street, drive 5 blocks to Hotel, driveway on left side.
  • Rental CarFind a car rental.

  • Airport Bus Service—A regular scheduled airport bus service operates between the airport and downtown Vancouver. Check the schedule.
